We love the shops that carry our product & we know you will too! We talked with Jessaca Brickley, owner of Reclaimed Rose and asked her to tell her shops story.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you got started with your shop?
I have always been artistic and resourceful when it came to upcycling and reusing material. Even as a kid I would cut up clothing and remake it and make my own toys. After I did my wedding myself (invitations, floral, bouquets, even the flower girl outfits), my family and friends encouraged me to pursue my artsy side as a business.
What inspired you to start your business?
After years of jobs that left me unfulfilled, I decided I needed a change. I just happened to know the former business owner of my shop and she posted on Facebook advertising her shop was up for rent. It was serendipitous. I had been considering pursuing my passion full time and very quickly decided to take a leap of faith to open a shop. I wanted somewhere I could go to everyday filled with things that inspire me, and I wanted to incorporate other handmade goods by local makers. It was on a whim, I had no business plan, financing or inventory, I just jumped into it.
What kind of merchandise do you carry ?
Reclaimed Rose carries gift items, home decor and vintage goods. We are an artisan collaborative, so there is a variety of handmade items for home and life. Some items are jewelry, body care products, artwork, accessories and bags, and much more. We also have vintage finds and gently used clothing.
What makes your shop unique?
It is an eclectic mix of vintage, new and handmade items, curated into one space with a nostalgic and whimsical vibe. It is a paradise for those who love pastels, feminine and bohemian styles. The merchandise changes all the time and most items are one of a kind, so you never know what you are going to get when you visit.
How long have you been in business?
I opened my brick + mortar store a little over two years ago. Prior to that, I sold a bit on Etsy, but mostly created for myself and family and friends.
What are your store hours?
Throughout the rest of 2017 we are open Tues, Weds, Thurs 11:30-5:00, Fri 11:30-6:30 and Sat 11:00-5:00. Hours also available by appointment. A lot of times I am here working beyond my set schedule, so just call ahead if you need me to stay later.
